Intensive Abstract Painting

Service Description

Fun, innovative, and challenging, abstract painting is an exciting way to express yourself. This program begins by teaching the fundamentals of design, composition, and color. Throughout the course, we will examine a history of Abstraction, learn how it started and find out "How, When and Why Paris moved to New York" in the middle of the XX century. Later on, we will examine the paintings of artists like Amy Sillman, Paul Kremer, Philip Guston, Nicole Eisenman, and more. We will work on a variety of fun projects and you will go home with the skills to tackle your own abstract paintings. Materials are included.
